Information and Images
A primary goal of the ICP is to provide a forum for those
who value our environment and are seeking to protect it. To
that end, we are actively soliciting your input and would
encourage you to participate as we to continue build this
web site. Specifically, we are asking you to help by:
Contributing your writing skills:
Well researched and factual articles on the environmental
issue(s) of your choice are always welcome. (Please note that
footnotes are problematic for our web design program and citations
and/or acknowledgements should be contained in the body copy.)
We would also love to see philosophical and/or theoretical
essays on any aspect of man’s relationship (social or
physical) with the world around us. The goal is to encourage
people to consider new ideas and new approaches to old problems.
Contributing your information base:
Please forward newspaper, magazine or other articles that
would be of interest to the environmental community. Feel
free to send articles that are local in nature but deal with
issues that impact us all.
Also, please forward web links that provide access to information
that you feel is important for others to know about as well
as web links to organizations that are fighting “the
good fight.”
Contributing your photographs:
We will be adding an Environmental Image Gallery to the site
and are looking for photographs that portray any and all aspects
of environmentalism from problems to successes to projects
in process. The subject matter can range from the beautiful
that needs protecting to the ugly that needs reclamation.
Feel free to include pictures and portraits of those who are
working to save our environment. All too often they receive
far too little recognition and we would be happy to help rectify
that oversight.
Any size digital image can be accommodated but large files
and/or batches should be sent during normal working hours
(EST) as our ISP has a 10 MB limit on e-mails. If our server
is off, our e-mail is not downloaded automatically from the
ISP and that 10 MB limit can quickly be reached. This will
result in a bounce back.
Please be sure to include your name (all photos will be credited),
a description of the scene and an indication of whether or
not you are making the photograph available for use to the
general public.
Please e-mail all contributions to preservationist@preservationist.net.
It is very helpful to note the content of the e-mail in the
subject area so that we don't mistake your message for spam
and delete it accidentally.
